Overview

Enterprise Data Management (EDM) installation deals with the following components setups.

• Environment
• Application Server
• Database
• Commandline Interface
• Add-ons

To setup EDM environment for the first time, the user receives the following components as initial setup package.

• Application server package - It is a pre-configured package for EDM.
• Ant package - It is a tool for generating mapper classes in the context of integration service.
• Commandline interface (pdbcli)
• Database content for EDM
• EDM software components
• Additional files - This package is optional.

EDM runs with a Wildfly 14.0.1 or JBoss EAP 7.2.0 application server. Both these server versions are available as pre-configured package to ease the installation.

The user can opt out of pre-configured package and install a plain EAP 7.2.0 server, which requires to be upgraded to the EDM pre-configured state.
