Overview

Customer Data Protection (CDP) functionality allows the customer to request deletion of their sensitive personal information.

This can be achieved by an erasure process that allows the data in the fields of the CUSTOMER table and its associated table to be modified or erased. This modification of CUSTOMER data needs to be done in live and history data records across all accessible data stores.

The Operational Data Store (ODS) is updated with the data changes through DATA EVENTS processing

A snapshot of the deleted data is stored and maintained by the Snapshot Data Store (SDS) . However data events processing does not update the deleted data in the snapshot history. Streaming events generated by the RR.ERASURE.PROCESS service deletes the data maintained in the SDS history.
