core.tic

Checks for adequate core dump space on the local server.

diskfree.tic

Checks for sufficient free disk space on the local server.

fsize.tic

Checks for correct file size ulimit setting on the local server.

jdls.tic

Checks that JDLS configuration is the same on all servers.

nofiles.tic

Checks for a usable number of OS file handles on the local server.

numcpu.tic

Checks for required number of CPUs on the local server. That is, is it powerful enough?

oslevels.tic

Checks that OS type and revision are the same on all servers.

portno.tic

jBASE port numbers (the JBCPORTNO environment variable) for remote servers are compared with those for the local server. Fails if any of them are same.

NOTE: Since parameters are simple strings, overlapping port ranges are not detected.

spooler.tic

Checks that the spooler is running at respective JBCSPOOLERDIR location. spooler.tic looks for the QUEUE’s in JBCSPOOLERDIR directory and checks their status. It reports WARNING or FAILURE according to your spooler setup.

Usage:

tic_spooler {options} {Spooler-Queue List}

Valid Options:

-h – Usage help text.
-v – Verbose mode.
-f – Consider warnings as failures.

Arguments:

Queue1 Queue2 ... – If all Spooler-Queues are good, then it returns SUCCESS else WARN or FAIL based on argument -f.

Examples (sample commands):

Command	Description
tic_spooler	Runs a spooler check on all the spooler queues in its respective JBCSPOOLERDIR.
tic_spooler –f	Runs a spooler check on all the spooler queues in its respective JBCSPOOLERDIR and if any of the Queue status is at Warning Level, it promotes to failure and reports the same.
tic_spooler –f –v	Runs a spooler check on all the spooler queues in its respective JBCSPOOLERDIR and if any of the Queue status is at Warning Level, it promotes to failure and reports the same. Apart from these, it runs everything in verbose mode where you get some detailed output on screen.
tic_spooler MyQueue1 MyQueue2	Runs a spooler check only on the Queues specified in the argument list of spooler in its respective JBCSPOOLERDIR.
tic_spooler –f MyQueue1 MyQueue2	Runs a spooler check only on the Queues specified in the argument list of spooler in its respective JBCSPOOLERDIR and if any of the Queue status is at Warning Level, it promotes to failure and reports the same.

umask.tic

Checks that sufficient user mask privileges are set on the local server.
