Overview

This section explains the extensibility functionality.

Extensibility is an MS framework feature that provides the capability to extend product microservice to store and query extension required fields for L3 Deployment of Microservice.

Extensibility feature supports:

• Extension of Product entity tables to store L3 additional fields
• Extension in microservice ingester infrastructure, to accept and store local reference fields received through Data events (DES)
• Extension in Ingester, to accept the alternate key  along with the extension fields and store it
• Extension in Business APIs to accept and retrieve additional business data

It provides infrastructure support to MS Enquiry APIs based on the  L3 Alternate Key supplied instead of the product entity ID.
